Mladen Gorički,
MSc, MD, Spec. radiologist
He graduated at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in 1968 and completed his specialization in radiology at the Clinical Hospital Centre-Rebro in Zagreb.
He has been employed at the Rogaška Medical Centre since 1982, where he has consistently developed ultrasound diagnostics. In 1989, he completed a Master's degree in ultrasound in clinical medicine.
He is a member of the Slovenian Medical Association, the Croatian Association for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, as well as a member of the Slovenian and European Associations of Radiology.
Anita Kek - Ljubec,
MD, spec. gastroenterologist
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1998. She completed her specialization in internal medicine in 2003.
During the time of her specialization, she was already especially dedicated to the area of gastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopic diagnostics. In 2000, she completed a post-graduate course in Doppler ultrasound diagnostics.
She has been employed at the Rogaška Medical Centre since 2007. She has been continuing her studies in the field of ultrasound and endoscopic ultrasound.
Nataša Kopinič Jernejšek,
MD, specialist in internal medicine – cardiologist
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1993. She has been employed at the Rogaška Medical Centre since 1994. She completed her specialization in internal medicine in 2002. She completed post-graduate education in the field of diabetes, as well as clinical allergology and asthma. She attended the 1st Slovenian school of echocardiography and obtained a license in transthoracic ultrasound of the heart. Today, she works in the area of cardiology and is the head of the Preventive Manager Programme at the Rogaška Medical Centre.
Suzana Lazarova,
MD, spec. internal medicine
She graduated from medical school in 1986 and her specialization in internal medicine in 1995 at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje.
She completed her post-graduate studies in abdominal ultrasound, diabetes, asthma and haemodialysis. She has been employed at the Rogaška Medical Centre since 2004 as the medical chief of staff.
Sandi Luft,
MD, specialist dermatovenerologist
He completed his medical studies and specialization in dermatovenerology at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana. He already began dealing with dermatology in depth in 1998. He has been employed at the Rogaška Medical Centre since 2007. Before coming to the centre, in addition to general dermatology, he worked in the treatment of vein diseases and took interest in anti-aging medicine.
After his arrival at the Rogaška Medical Centre, he introduced several procedures in dermatology, which are performed in the anti-aging field. He is a member of the Slovenian Wound Healing Association, the Association of Slovenian Dermatovenerologists (ASD) and the World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (WOSAAM).
Dragan Popov,
MD, Spec. radiologist
He was born in Belgrade in 1958. He completed his medical studies and specialization in radiology at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.
He completed his post-graduate studies in Doppler ultrasound diagnostics of vascular diseases at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb.
He has been employed at the Rogaška Medical Centre since 2005 in the department for X-ray and ultrasound.
Ilonka Ratkajec,
MD, spec. physiotherapist, balneologist
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in October 1979. She began working at the Rogaška Medical Centre in 1981; in 1989, she completed her specialization in physical medicine and rehabilitation in Ljubljana.
Today, she is the head of balneotherapy and physiotherapy at the Rogaška Medical Centre.
Ružica Slivnik,
MD, Spec. dermatovenerologist, balneologist
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1981. In 1985, she completed post-graduate studies in gerontology. She completed her specialization in dermatovenerology in 1993.
At the Rogaška Medical Centre in 2001, she introduced procedures with the diode laser for the removal of tiny blood vessels of the face, tiny veins on the legs and permanent hair removal. In 2006, she introduced programmes for rejuvenation, smoothing of wrinkles and acne treatment. She is a member of the Slovenian section for dermatovenerology.
Zoran Stanišić,
MSc, MD, Spec. internist, gastroenterologist
He completed medical school, a specialization in internal medicine and subspecialisation in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Novi Sad. He has participated in several clinical projects in the field of gastroenterology. He holds a Master's degree in multi-disciplinary fields.
He completed a Master's degree in Pancreatology. In 2002, he brought the wealth of expertise, which he had acquired through 10 years of clinical work and as an assistant in internal medicine, to the Rogaška Medical Centre.
Brigita Švab,
MD, Spec. general surgery
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1996. She completed her specialization in 2002. Since the beginning of her professional career, she has dealt with vascular diseases in great depth. She felt a need for further training.
In 2002, she worked alongside well-known cardiovascular surgeons at the Texas Heart Institute in Texas; two years later she worked with surgeons in Maastricht in the Netherlands. In the meantime, she completed an ultrasound course.
For several years at the Celje General Hospital, she acted as deputy head of the Department for vascular surgery and after six years, decided to pursue a separate path at the Rogaška Medical Centre.
She has been introducing new operation techniques in the field of varic-endovenous laser operation techniques. For several years, she has been a member of the Association for vascular diseases and for the last two years, has been the vice-president of the Association for vascular surgery.
Petra Žohar,
MD, Spec. internal medicine, cardiologist
She has been employed in the Cardiology department of the Celje General Hospital since 1991 and since 2004 has worked part-time at the Rogaška Medical Centre, where she is the head of Cardiologic activities. She completed her specialization in internal medicine in Ljubljana in 1996.
She has constantly been increasing her knowledge in the field of ultrasound of the heart, both transthoracic and transesophageal. In 2006, she obtained her licence in transthoracic ultrasound of the heart.
She has been passing on her knowledge to younger generations and participates as a teacher and mentor at the Slovenian school of ultrasound of the heart, which is organized by the Slovenian Cardiology Association.
She is a member of the Slovenian and European Cardiology Associations and workshops for heart ultrasounds at the European Cardiology Association.
Irena Žnideršič,
MD, Spec. radiology
In 2001, she began working as a radiology specialist in the Radiology department of the Brežice General Hospital, where in addition to classical roentgenogram readings and the spectrum of radiological examinations (contrasting exams of the urinary tract, digestive tract, artrography and myelography), she also performed mammograms and CT scans of all the organ systems.
After successfully completing a specialization in radiology at the Clinical Institute for Radiology of the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana in 2001, she continued her studies in the field of ultrasound diagnostics (muscular-skeletal system, neurosonology). She is a member of the Slovenian and European associations of radiologists.
She joined the Rogaška Medical Centre team in 2009.

Boštjan Birsa,
MD, Spec. internist, gastroenterologist
He completed his studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1997 and his specialization in internal medicine in 2003. He is employed in the Department for digestive system diseases at the Celje General Hospital, where he is also the leader of the Endoscopy team.
He occasionally works at the Rogaška Medical Centre as a visiting doctor. He is a member of the Slovenian association for gastroenterology and hepatology and regularly improves his skills at training courses, both at home and abroad.
Klemen Jagodič,
MD, Spec. urology
He completed his studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1998 and a specialization in urology in 2004. He then continued his studies and completed a Master's degree at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 2007. He is employed at the Celje General Hospital in the Urology department.
Frančiška Lavrič,
MD, balneologist
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1965 and began working at the Rogaška Medical Centre. She completed her specialization in balneology both at home and abroad (Austria, Germany). At the Rogaška Medical Centre, she occasionally performs balneological check-ups for both domestic and foreign guests.
Natalija Majcen,
MD, Spec. radiology
She was born in Ptuj in 1971, where she completed elementary and high school. She began her studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1990. She graduated in 1997 and successfully completed her specialization in radiology in 2003.
She is currently completing her Master's degree in radiology. She is employed in the radiology department at the Ptuj General Hospital and has been the head of the department since 2006.
Zdenko Orožim,
MD, Spec. general surgery, Spec. plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1986. He began working in the Department of hand surgery, burns and plastic surgery at the Celje General Hospital in 1988 and has been the head of the hand surgery section since 2008.
He completed his specialization in general surgery in 1992 and an oriented specialization in plastic surgery in 2002. Both were done in Ljubljana. He deepened his knowledge in the field of aesthetic surgery and hand surgery at courses and trainings in Waldenburg in 1993, Girona in 2000, Graz and Mersin in 2001, Lugano in 2003, Budapest in 2004, at the Kaplan Institute, Hospital de Barcelona, Centro medico Delfos, Aesthetic Institute Vila-Rovira and Centro medico Teknon in Barcelona in 2005 and 2006, as well as at the Clinic for hand surgery in Bad Neustadt in 2007.
He regularly participates at European and World Congresses for plastic surgery and hand surgery. He passes his knowledge and expertise on to the students of the medical faculties in Maribor and Ljubljana. He is a member of the Slovenian and the European association of plastic surgeons and is currently the president of the section for hand surgery in Slovenia.
Janez Podobnik,
MSc, MD, Spec. orthopaedics
In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, where he also completed his Master's degree and specialization. He spent the first six years working at the University Medical Centre; since 1996, he has been employed at the Celje General Hospital in the department for orthopaedics and sports injuries.
In addition to general and endoprosthetic orthopaedic operations, he is deeply involved in endoscopic surgery on the knee and shoulder, as well as foot surgery; at the Orthopaedic clinic in Ljubljana, he also works as a research assistant and teaches students of the Faculty of Medicine.
Sandi Poteko,
MD, Spec. urology
He has been employed at the Celje General Hospital in the Urology department since 1989. He completed his specialization in urology in Ljubljana in 1993. Since 2007, he has been running the urology clinic at the Rogaška Medical Centre as a visiting doctor.
He actively participates at congresses as a member of the Association of urologists of Slovenia and the European association for urology. Through regular courses at home and abroad, he acquired the knowledge to perform complete urological diagnostics and operational activity.
Slavko Ristić,
MD, Spec. radiology
He was born in Leskovac in 1962, where he completed medical high school. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Niš in 1988. He completed his specialization in radiology in 1993 at the VMA Institute for Radiology in Belgrade.
Prior to his arrival in Slovenia, he worked for the Department of radiology of the Zaječar General Hospital and the Department of Radiology at the Clinical centre of Banja Luka. After official recognition of his specialization in Slovenia in 2002, he worked at a clinic in Ljubljana. Since 2003, he has been employed at the Celje General Hospital in the Department of radiology. He performs standard radiology tests, sonographic and CT diagnostics.
Stanko Tominc,
MD, Spec. physiotherapist
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 1981. He began his career as a general practitioner at primary health care clinics in Ptuj.
In 1992, he began working as a specialist in physical and rehabilitational medicine at the Ptuj Spas, where he took over managing the organizational health units. Since October 2007, he has been running a private specialist clinic with a concession within the framework of the spas. The purpose of the clinic is rehabilitation after injuries and disorders of the motor system.
