Cardiology clinic

He graduated as the best student in the year and acquired the title of a specialist in internal medicine. He finished his specialization in internal medicine, with additional knowledge in the areas of cardiology, which he upgraded with a doctorate of heart failure. The area of his work is mostly invasive cardiac diagnostics and therapy (coronagraphy) and the insertion of pacemakers. He is the head of Cardiology Section at the Celje General Hospital and an external collaborator at the Rogaška Medical Centre.

He has been in charge of an internist emergency service for several years and is one of the two beginners of invasive cardiac diagnostics at the Celje Hospital. He is constantly expanding his knowledge in other cardiological diagnostic methods. He obtained the European licence in transthoracic ultrasound of the heart and finished training in the field of magnetic resonance examination of the heart at the prestigious Deutsches Herzzentrum in Berlin. As a researcher, he presented his contributions at the leading American and European congresses in cardiology and emergency medicine. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, where he worked as a member of the Committee on Clinical Guidance, and the Council for Education at the Medical Chamber of Slovenia. He works as a teacher and mentor; by the selection of young doctors, he is ranked among the top ten teachers in the country.
